Adding a Question to the Quiz

Once the Quiz shell is created you will need to add questions. This will walk through the three ways to do that.

  1. Select the Edit Quiz button
  2. On the next page select the Add button
  3. In the dropdown menu select the method you would like to add a question to the quiz.

Adding: A New Question

Selecting this option will let you create a new question from scratch. This option is best if you have not set up a question bank or need to quickly add a question to the quiz.

  1. From the pop-up window choose the type of question you would like to make then select Add

  2. Create the question and select Save Changes.
  3. You will be brought back to the quiz and your question will appear in the quiz

Adding: From the Question Bank

If you have already created questions in the question bank you can easily add them to a quiz through this method.

  1. After selecting the From the Question Bank option, a question bank window will appear.
  2. If you set up questions in categories use the dropdown to select the correct category.
  3. This will load the questions.
  4. To add one question, select the plus sign next to the question name.
  5. To add more than one check the box next to the question then select Add Selected
  6. This will add the question to the quiz

Adding: A Random Question

If you have created a question bank and a category you can have the system randomly choose the questions for the exam. These questions will be different for each users and are selected when the user starts the quiz.

  1. After selecting the A Random Question option, a question bank window will appear.

  2. Select the category you would like to randomly choose questions from.
  3. In the Number of random questions section choose the number of random questions from that category you would like to add.
  4. Once the number of questions is chosen select, Add Random Question to add them to the quiz.
  5. This will add the questions to the quiz

Note: That when selecting the number of random questions after 10 the options go up by 10. As such to add 25 questions you would first select 20 questions and then repeated steps 1-4 selecting 5.

Visibility of Scores

Sometimes you may not want students to see their scores after a quiz or change it to make sure that the students can see the scores.
