In 2018 the University of Redlands created their first Makerspace by transforming a CLS. This space provided students, staff, and faculty with the tools to make and explore 3D printing and VR technologies.
In the Winter of 2020, the Fletcher Jones Foundation provided a grant for the expansion of University’s makerspace. During the spring and summer of 2021 as part of the Fletcher Jones Foundation Computer Center redesign and along with Garner Holt lab 112 was upgraded into a Makerspace. This new space will open Fall 2021 for student, faculty, and staff use.
