Approved practicum sites can include community mental health organizations, non-profit agencies, medical and psychiatric hospital settings, schools, or institutions. Below is a list of featured practicum sites that are currently partnered with the university. This list is fluid in the sense that new partner sites can be secured provided the organization meets the requirements as an approved site.
To select a practicum site that best aligns with your areas of interest and professional and personal goals, spend time exploring each potential practicum site's website to identify how their values, services, and programs differ. Practicum placements require advance coordination and often involve an application process, including an interview. As you explore options for practicum sites, it is important that you inquire about the process and timeline for placement as well as confirm the prospective Site Supervisor meets the eligibility requirements for supervision (refer to your program handbook).
Please note that once you identify a practicum site, you will work with your advisor to confirm that the organization is an approved practicum partner. If you are interested in an organization not currently partnered with the university, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the University of Redlands and the site will be required before you begin practicum. Once provided with the necessary information, the Office of Licensures and Credentialing will start the process of obtaining the MOU.
California Behavioral Health (CBH) is an addiction, mental health, and residential treatment facility that aims to provide evidence-based clinical care when treating addiction and co-occurring disorders. CBH uses a multidisciplinary approach to address the needs of the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
Chaffey Joint Union High School District (CJUHSD) is a high school only district that serves the communities of Ontario, Montclair, Rancho Cucamonga, and portions of Fontana, Upland, Chino, and Mount Baldy. They offer opportunities to provide crisis counseling and individual and group therapy to high school students.
Citrus Counseling Services (CCS) is a non-profit mental health agency providing counseling and mental health services throughout the Inland Empire since 1978. Their mission is to provide comprehensive mental health services and bridge clients to community services. They provide mental health therapeutic services that focus on the relational well-being of clients of all ages, focusing on evidence-based treatments that target low- to moderate-income families with young children. Other services include counseling, assessments, treatment, and program eligibility screening.
Clay Counseling Solutions is a therapy organization focused on providing evidence-based counseling services and bringing out the best in the individuals, families, and schools they serve. Their vision is to provide community counseling services and supports that are culturally responsive, accessible, and affordable. They also strive to provide unparalleled academic, behavioral and mental health counseling and coaching services.
Crafton Hills College Health and Wellness Center (HWC) provides students with wellness, illness, and injury care. The HWC offers mental health counseling services including depression counseling, stress testing and counseling, crisis intervention, and short-term situational counseling.
The LGBTQ Center OC was established as a volunteer organization in 1971 and incorporated in 1975 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit community-based organization. They are one of the oldest gay and lesbian community centers in the United States. The LGBTQ Center Orange County provides services to more than 14,000 individuals annually across a broad spectrum of culture, ethnicity, age, and economic background.
MFI Recovery Center is a full-service, 501-(c)(3) nonprofit, behavioral healthcare organization that provides high quality treatment to adults and adolescents with substance abuse, mental health and family problems. Their mission is to provide comprehensive substance abuse recovery and behavioral health services to help individuals and families achieve and maintain a healthy and productive lifestyle.
New Origins, an outpatient addiction treatment program, offers individual, family, and group therapy and an adult men's Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Co-Occurring Long-Term Intensive Outpatient Program.
Outreach Concern is a non-profit 501(c)(3) counseling agency created to help students and their parents eliminate the barriers that impact their performance in the classroom.
Palomar Family Counseling Solutions is a nonprofit counseling agency created to provide counseling services to children and family in need in the San Diego County. Palomar Family Counseling Soultions offers group counseling services, couple therapy/marrige counseling, children and youth services, domestic violence services and more.
Pomona Unified's School Mental Health Services and Family Support Services programs serve students from birth through 12th grade by implementing an integrated, comprehensive, and community-specific prevention and intervention project. They provide various services, including individual and family clinical counseling, transformative arts programming, and trauma informed interventions.
Redlands Unified School District's Coordinated Supports and Services (RCSS) provides consultation and direct service in meeting the academic, behavioral, mental health, and social-emotional needs of all Redlands educational partners.

Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) Internship
Riverside University Health System – Behavioral Health (RUHS-BH) is comprised of three major programs: Mental Health Services, Substance Use Services, and the Public Guardian’s Office. These programs provide prompt, efficient, professional, culturally competent services throughout the county.
With various offices in Southern California, the Transgender Health & Wellness Center, a non-profit 501(c)(3), provides crises intervention, social services, and wrap-around services to address the intersectional barriers that prevent the LGBT community from fully thriving.
The University of Redlands Counseling Center is an on-campus mental health clinic. They provide free and confidential short-term mental health services, including individual therapy, crisis intervention, group therapy and consultation services to their campus.
