Glossary

 

Campaign Contributions — The total amount of gifts and pledges to the Campaign. This amount includes outright gifts, new pledges, bequests, and matching gifts. Payments to pledges from prior to 7/01/2013 are included if the initial pledge was not counted towards a previous campaign.  Bequests are counted at the full amount if the donor is age 70 or older by the end of the campaign.  Donors between 50 and 70 at the end of the campaign may have thier bequest included at a discounted value.

 

Campaign Donors — The total number of Donors who received "hard" or "soft" credit on a contribution made to the Forever Yours Campain.

 

Headcount — The total number of persons enrolled regardless of the amount of credit hours a student is enrolled in.

 

First-time Full-time — Students who entered the University of Redlands as degree-seeking students without having previously enrolled at a College or University and were enrolled for at least 12 hours in their first term. Note: College level coursework as part of a student's high school curriculum does not count as prior enrollment.

 

Peer Institutions — Institutions designated by the University of Redlands Peer Institution Working Group (Feb. 2012) as peers for external standards.  This group includes: Baldwin Wallace University, Butler University, Drake University, Hamline University, Loyola Marymount University, Monmouth University, Saint Joseph's University, University of San Diego, University of Scranton, University of the Pacific, and Westminster College, based on generally similar enrollment, structure, and endowment.

 

Redlands Fund Giving — The total amount of outright gifts, pledge payments, and matching gifts designated to annual Redlands Fund accounts.

 

1st to 3rd Semester Retention Rate — The percentage of first-time full-time students who entered in fall semester and returned as of the next fall census.
