As Earth Day and National Arbor Day approach, the University celebrates receiving the Arbor Day Foundation recognition each year for more than a decade
The University of Redlands, a private liberal arts university in Southern California, has received the 2019 Tree Campus USA recognition from the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management and engaging staff and students in conservation goals.
“Tree Campuses and their students set examples for not only their students but the surrounding communities showcasing how trees create a healthier environment,” said Dan Lambe, president of the Arbor Day Foundation. “Because of the University of Redlands's participation, air will be purer, water cleaner, and your students and faculty will be surrounded by the shade and beauty the trees provide.”
