Former Apple VP kicks off 21st Century Leadership Speaker Series

Jay Elliot to discuss ‘Disruptive Innovation: The Steve Jobs Way’

The University of Redlands School of Business will present a three-part 21st Century Leadership Speaker Series beginning with Jay Elliot, former Apple senior vice president, discussing “Disruptive Innovation: The Steve Jobs Way” at its WeWork Aventine location in La Jolla.

Currently the founder and CEO of iMedGO, Inc., an emergency medical apps software company, Elliot has more than 30 year’s operations experience with corporate giants as IBM, Intel and Apple Computer. As senior vice president at Apple, Elliot reported directly to co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs and was responsible for all corporate operations and overall corporate business planning. During Elliot’s six-year tenure, Apple sales grew from $150 million to more than $3 billion.

Elliot documented his experience at Apple and working for Steve Jobs in two books — The Steve Jobs Way, a worldwide best seller, and Leading Apple with Steve Jobs.

The 21st Century Leadership Speaker Series is part of the School of Business Purposeful Leadership Initiative, which integrates concepts and models from across the disciplines of management to ethics and philosophy to the social sciences. The recently launched initiative debuts a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and includes educational offerings, research, and community outreach.

The event, which includes a hosted bar and hors d’oeuvres, is free but registration is required. Register here. WeWork Aventine, La Jolla, is located at 8910 University Center Lane, 4th Floor, San Diego, California 92122. Validated parking is available onsite underground.
