Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Miriam Pawel will talk about her new book, “The Browns of California: The Family Dynasty That Transformed a State and Shaped a Nation,” at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, in Hall of Letters 100 at the University of Redlands. This event is free and open to the public.
Pawel spent the first part of her career as a reporter and editor at Newsday and the Los Angeles Times. She now focuses primarily on writing books, and occasionally pens opinion pieces, essays and book reviews. She won a Pulitzer Prize for spot-news reporting, a Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights book award, and was nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award.
