Dr. Renee Van Vechten is a nationally recognized expert on California politics as well as state and national elections. She can speak with authority on the upcoming California primary election and the midterm elections. 

Dr. Van Vechten is author of the book California Politics: A Primer, released recently in its fifth edition providing readers with "analytical tools to piece together an answer to questions"... about "Californians distrust of government" and if Californians use political power differently than citizens of other states.

Dr. Van Vechten teaches political science at the University of Redlands in California. She holds a Ph.D. and masters in political science from the University of California, Irvine.
