REDLANDS, California (March 29, 2017)—The University of Redlands continues its Spring 2017 Political Series by welcoming former Senator Barbara Boxer to campus at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 in the historic Memorial Chapel.
In her talk, Boxer will address the importance of social activism, environmental sustainability, and community service. Her memoir, “The Art of Tough: Fearlessly Facing Politics and Life,” will be sold at the event, and a book signing will follow the lecture.
A forceful advocate for families, children, consumers, the environment and her State of California, Boxer became a U.S. senator in January 1993 after 10 years of service in the House of Representatives and six years on the Marin County Board of Supervisors. In January 2017, she stepped down after four terms in the Senate.
