Gondwana Chorale takes stage with UR Chapel Singers

REDLANDS, California (Jan. 19, 2017)—Gondwana Chorale, the national youth choir of Australia featuring top auditioned singers from across the continent, will take the stage with the University of Redlands Chapel Singers in a special free concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017 in the Historic Memorial Chapel.

On its first U.S. tour, Gondwana Chorale is composed of the top auditioned singers, ages 17-26, from across the continent. Established in 2008, the Chorale performs music that is close to their hearts: new Australian works which capture the mystery and grandeur of their homeland and display the cultural diversity of the Australian people.

“The students and I are looking forward to meeting new friends and colleagues and performing in a mass ensemble. I know that this will be a wonderful evening of eclectic choral music from around the world,” says Director of Choral Studies Nicholle Andrews.

The University of Redlands Chapel Singers is an advanced 25-voice chamber choir composed of undergraduate and graduate students. Founded in 1965, the ensemble has a long tradition of musical excellence.
