Filmmaker and Redlands alumna Jessie Kahnweiler will screen her film, “Meet My Rapist” at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 16, 2016 followed by a discussion at Orton Center.  

Kahnweiler makes films because she can't afford therapy, she says. Her work, which has been featured in the New York Times, Cosmo, People, The Huffington Post and New York Magazine among others, started while she was a student at the University of Redlands. For her thesis film, she hitchhiked across the country to explore the world of America's truck drivers. In her latest project, she wrote, directed and starred in "The Skinny" which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
