The Office of Equity & Title IX interns are an important part of the Equity & Title IX Team. The interns plan and deliver prevention, education, and awareness programs throughout the year on topics including healthy relationships, consent, and the Title IX process.
Hi! My name is Elsie Kloeppel, and I am from Portland, Oregon. I am a Biology major, and Public Policy minor, and part of the class of 2023. I enjoy skiing, hiking, and playing basketball. I joined the Office of Equity & Title IX team because I am passionate about social justice issues and wanted to be part of a strong team who shares my passion for promoting awareness about consent and equality on campus.
Hi Folks! My name is Amy Bui (she/her/hers). I am currently residing in Tarpon Springs, Florida. I am an Education and Arts major with a focus in Secondary Education and Ceramics. I enjoy all things arts, working out, and swimming. I decided to join the Title IX office because I think it is extremely important to spread awareness about social justice issues, the importance of consent, and everything under this department.
Hi! My name is Lauren Goodno, and I am from Portland, Oregon. I am majoring in Accounting and Media Visual Culture Studies and will graduate in 2024. I love doing any outdoor activities in my free time like hiking and paddle boarding! This position at the Office of Equity & Title IX is valuable to me because I want to be an educated member of society and ensure everyone on campus exudes understanding and is willing to keep an open mind.
My name is Ashley Lopez. I am double majoring in Health Medicine & Society and Business Management. I am also part of the HMS student council, COPE Health Scholar, the Alpha Xi Omicron Sorority, Phi Sigma Honors Biology Program, and have been continuing the Orientation Leader role to facilitate first year students’ involvement around campus. I love to spend time with my family and go out with friends. I wanted to receive this position because I believe it is crucial to emphasize the importance of equity throughout the school and the community. This position, the role and working alongside a team building programs for the community to engage with is the reason why this role holds so much importance to me.
Hi! My name is Maddie Thomas and I am a senior here at Redlands. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I am a psychology major hoping to go into marriage and family counseling. I wanted to be part of the Title IX internship team because I wanted to be a part of something larger than myself on this campus. This internship also provides me with a platform to break down stigmas surrounding many Title IX topics, as well as providing me with the ability to give a voice to my peers through discussion-based events.
