Preferred Name Process

 

The preferred name request form is available to all students at The University of Redlands who would prefer a name different from their legal one to be reflected across campus resources that are not legally binding. 

Preferred first names will be used in place of your legal name on class rosters, grade rosters, advisee listings, MyRedlands, Moodle, email display, login name, and may also appear in University of Redlands’ promotional materials, news releases, and related systems. The University will continue to use your legal first name within your academic record, diploma, official transcripts, enrollment verifications, financial record, and in most third-party database systems.
