U.S. Constitution Credential Requirement

A course or examination covering provisions and principles of the U.S. constitution is required for preliminary teaching credentials. Teaching credential candidates must meet the U.S. Constitution requirement. Candidates can meet the U.S. Constitution requirement may be met by satisfactory completion of coursework completed at a regionally-accredited community college or four-year college or university by successfully completing the U.S. Constitution Exam. The Commission has deemed that coursework for this requirement must be met by the grade of “C” or better or a pass, credit, or satisfactory grade.
