Vice President, Marketing and Communications

Kin Sejpal joined the University of Redlands in July of 2022 as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. She brings with her vast experience in higher education marketing, including expertise in research and data analytics, brand and content strategy, and digital marketing.

Kin recently served as the Associate Vice President, Marketing and Creative Services at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT)—an inaugural role created to develop a sophisticated and high-performing marketing function. She worked with partners—both internal and external—to launch RIT’s rebranding initiative and its first national reputation campaign. She was also responsible for improving RIT awareness and perception of quality that contributed to record-breaking enrollment years. An advocate for the humanities, Kin guided the development of sub-brand strategies for the RIT College of Liberal Arts and School of Communication.

Prior to her time at RIT, Kin served in a variety of roles at Purdue University’s Office of Marketing and Media. Among her many accomplishments there, Kin successfully managed Purdue’s comprehensive brand identity development initiative. In her position as Senior Manager, Market Research, her primary area of focus included the execution of marketing research projects and tracking and reporting on marketing and communication performance metrics.

Dedicated to advancing higher education and the importance of marketing in shaping the perception of our industry, Kin serves in prominent positions with CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) and AMA (American Marketing Association).

Kin has an M.B.A in Marketing and Strategic Management, and an M.A. in Communications from Purdue University. She received her bachelor’s degree from Narsee Monjee College in Mumbai, India.

Office of the Vice President of Marketing and Communications

The Vice President of Marketing and Communications reports directly to the President and serves on the President’s Cabinet. The vice president is responsible for leading the University’s collective branding, marketing, and communications initiatives while partnering with enrollment leaders across campus to support student recruitment and retention.
