University of Redlands to participate in 'Great California ShakeOut'

Earthquakes pose a significant safety threat in our region and the best way to address that threat is through preparation. The University of Redlands will participate in the Great California ShakeOut earthquake drill at 10:17 a.m. on Thursday, October 17. More than 9 million Californians are anticipated to participate in the statewide drill, which is one-minute to practice these recommended actions:

  • Drop to the floor.
  • Cover your head and neck with one arm and hand. Crawl under your desk or table. If in an auditorium with no tables, take cover between the rows of chairs.
  • Hold on to the leg of the desk/table with your other hand.
