Two-time Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated documentary filmmaker Amy Ziering will share her message of why “Consent is Sexy” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, in the Memorial Chapel. The event is open to the public. Tickets are available to the public for $10 and can be purchased online.
Ziering’s most recent film, “The Hunting Ground,” a piercing, monumental exposé of rape culture in higher education, helped to change policies in dozens of states and hundreds of colleges and universities.
Her previous film, “The Invisible War,” follows the groundbreaking investigation into the epidemic of rape in the U.S. military, which spurred Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta to announce significant policy changes and catalyze Congress to pen and pass 35 pieces of reform legislation.
