U of R hosts KPCC event: Free speech vs. hate speech on college campuses

Southern California is experiencing rising tensions and more protests at colleges and universities. Conversations about what’s acceptable speech on campus have been heightened by elevated tensions around the Trump administration. What are the experiences of students of color and immigrant students on campus? How have they changed in the current climate?

Join Southern California Public Radio KPCC’s Adolfo Guzman-Lopez at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30 in Orton Center at the University of Redlands for a conversation on freedom of speech and combating hate speech on our campuses and in our communities. U of R Provost Kathy Ogren, School of Education Dean Andrew Wall, College of Arts & Sciences Dean Kendrick Brown will join students and others to be part of this dynamic dialogue.

The community is encouraged to attend. This event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Reserve your seat
